The Campbelltown community will come together to pay tribute to the lives lost during war on Anzac Day on Sunday 25 April at Mawson Park.
The Campbelltown RSL Sub Branch will hold a dawn service at 5.30am before the main service begins at 9am.
“Anzac Day is an important occasion for us to come together to remember the sacrifices made by Australian servicemen and women,” Mayor George Brticevic said.
“The Gallipoli landings and the Anzac story is a significant part of our nation’s history and is seen by many as a defining moment in our nationhood, but Anzac Day is also about remembering the many conflicts that Australia has been involved in since,” Cr Brticevic said.
“Campbelltown has a proud history of many local residents who have served in our armed forces and there are many veterans who live here today,” he said.
In line with COVID-19 restrictions on outdoor public gatherings, the events have been capped at 3,000 people.
People can pre-register and bring their ticket to skip the queue at entry and guarantee their place or bring their smart phone and scan the QR code
