From Friday 23 April, all Victorian hospitality venues and businesses will switch to electronic record keeping through the free Victorian Government QR Code Service or Victorian Government Application Programming Interface (API).
When you’re out and about rediscovering Bayside's wonderful cafes, shops and restaurants, make sure you check-in.
Checking-in using your smart phone at a business premises is one of our key weapons against COVID-19 as it can make contract tracing so much easier (if needed). If you don't know how to check-in or do not have a smart phone, ask the friendly staff for assistance.
We can all do our bit to stay safe:
follow current restrictions Practise good hygiene and regularly and thoroughly wash your hands. Maintain physical distancing, keep at least 1.5 metres away from others. Carry a face mask when you leave home unless you have a lawful reason not to. It is strongly recommended you wear one whenever you cannot keep 1.5 metres distance from others. Wear a face mask when required, unless a lawful exception applies. Get tested at a nearby testing location including Sandringham Hospital. Return home immediately. If you are worried you will lose pay while you wait for test result or you have tested positive and need to self-isolate you may be eligible for a worker support payment. And, check-in when you visit a cafe, restaurant or business premises. Businesses can find out more about the record keeping requirements on the DHHS website.Stay safe Bayside.
