GET INVOLVED AND HAVE YOUR SAY
Council is continuing our series of public meetings and stalls across the region this week. We know that rates and waste are very important, and oftentimes controversial, topics in our community. That’s why we make such a concerted effort to give the community as much avenue as possible to have their say on these matters.
Coming up this week:
Wednesday 28 April 2021 in Cooma – Rates Structure stall 1 – 5pm – Cooma Visitors Centre. Draft Waste Strategy community meeting – 6 – 7pm – Cooma Council Chambers.
Thursday 29 April 2021 in Adaminaby – Rates Structure stall 9am – 1pm – The Bake House. Draft Waste Strategy community meeting – 6 – 7pm – Adaminaby School of Arts.
Saturday 1 May 2021 in Michelago. Rates Structure stall from 9 – 10am at the Michelago General Store, moving to Michelago Hall from 10am – 2pm.
As always, on these and any other project, you can provide feedback and learn more by visiting our website, contacting us directly, or visiting a Council office.
DONATIONS & SPONSORSHIPS
Council’s next period of donations and sponsorships application period closes Thursday 13 May 2021 at midnight.
This is a wonderful program offered by Council that has provided tens of thousands of dollars in support to local community groups, helping them continue to their good works in the community.

HOW COUNCIL COMMUNICATES
Our desire is always to communicate to as many people as possible through every media avenue we have available.
Through four different formats in the newspaper, our own social media as well as those run by the community, our website, media releases to digital news services covering our region, and physical notices at Council offices – we do as much as we can to get the word out.
Anytime there is opportunity for you to provide feedback on a Council matter, you can rest assured it will be distributed through the above media.
BOCO ROCK COMMUNITY ENHANCEMENT FUND
The Boco Rock Community Enhance Fund will be opening applications this year on Tuesday 1 June 2021. With local government elections this September, it is important the committee is able to meet and make their determinations on funding applications ahead of this time.

ANZAC DAY 2021
ANZAC Day was observed this past Sunday 25 April 2021. It was good to see things back to normal after ceremonies were cancelled last year, with communities across the Snowy Monaro giving thanks to those who sacrificed their lives for our country.
Lest we forget.
