Ten projects will be completed in the next three years with funding provided to Council from the State Government’s Works for Queensland (W4Q) program.
A report tabled at Council today revealed the $12.11 million received from the three-year 2021-24 program is a 44% reduction when compared to the $14.45 million received from the two-year 2019-21 program.
That excluded the $7.4 million of funding received by Council as part of the 2020-21 COVID W4Q round.
The projects funding by the 2021-24 program must be completed by 30 June 2024.
Among the projects is $1.5 million for renewal of the Edmonton West water pump station, $1.9 million for kerb and channel renewal, $1.6 million for road reseals, $2.1 million for asphalt overlays, and $600,000 for renewal of the Esplanade Lagoon timber deck.
