Toowoomba Regional Council (TRC) will make up to $50,000 available to community organisations as part of a Community Support Micro Grants program.
Following the success of last year’s program, TRC Environment and Community Chair, Cr James O’Shea said the program would again be open to the community from 30 April 2021.
“When we approved the second round of Community Grants for this financial year Council looked at the underspent funds in some of the categories and made a decision to put $50,000 towards the Community Support Micro Grants program,” Cr O’Shea said.
“This is the same program we ran last year with 147 community organisations successful.
“Community groups, including sporting organisations, will have until close of business, Friday 14 May to apply for grants of up to $500 for a range of equipment, upgrades and education opportunities through the program,” Cr O’Shea said.
“Applications will be assessed within a week of the closing date, with successful recipients starting to receive funding agreement forms by the end of May.
