Gympie Regional Council is now accepting applications for funding as part of Environment Levy Community Group Grants 2020/2021 Round 2.

Council is providing $111,000 in financial assistance to eligible community organisations to deliver projects which respond to the environment priorities set out in council’s Environmental Strategy.

To be suitable for the program, applicants must meet certain eligibility criteria including being an incorporated not-for-profit community organisation with a focus on the environment or natural resource management that is based in or provides benefits to the Gympie region.

There are several categories that the project must meet in order for applicants to be successful, which include environmental education and awareness, environmental surveys, monitoring and research, maintenance or improvements at existing revegetation sites on state government and council owned or managed properties, and many more.

Applications close 5pm on Monday 17 May 2021.
