Snowy Monaro Regional Council has acquired a community purposes facility in Jindabyne and is seeking suitable tenants to submit expressions of interest.
Located at 17 Bent Street, Jindabyne, the primary use of the property is restricted to that of a youth centre, library, Snowy Mountains Neighbourhood Centre – or any combination of these. The submission window is open now until 5pm on Friday 28 May 2021.
Council will consider a variety of tenancy proposals, from a head lease agreement providing for individual sub-leases, through to individual leases for part of the facility – so long as the primary use restriction is adhered to.
“This new community facility will be a great addition to Jindabyne and the surrounding region, and Council looks forward to working with community groups and organisations to get these new services up and running as soon as possible,” said Mayor Peter Beer, Snowy Monaro Regional Council.
Lease terms will be subject to negotiation and applicants should expect to be responsible for the connection of utilities; any upgrades or extensions; and providing and installing furniture and fittings (with approval from Council for major fittings). Responsibility for general maintenance and repair will be negotiated.
