National Archaeology Week

Saturday, May 22, 2021, 9am – 3pm Be the first to see artefacts from Brisbane’s past, The Friends of Toowong Cemetery will be on hand to help identify your discovery and unveil the story behind the stones.  Requirements: Bring a hat, some sturdy shoes, a water bottle and a set of gloves, not to mention a boundless curiosity, curbed only by your definition of wonderment! Meeting point: Excavation will occur in between portions 18 and 15 or between portions 29A and 28, dependent upon weather. Wayfinding signs are available close to the entrances of the cemetery.
