From taking a stroll through open spaces to participating in sport across the region, all community members are encouraged to have their say in the New Central Highlands Sport and Open Space Plan.
Central Highlands Regional Council Mayor Kerry Hayes said this new plan will ensure resources are suitably allocated to best meet the needs of the community and deliver value for money.
‘The plan will help to identify opportunities to optimise the region’s sport and open space facility supply,’ Mayor Hayes said.
‘In this type of long-term planning, community feedback is vital to ensuring we understand the needs and aspirations for these spaces and facilities.’
‘With this in mind, I encourage all members of the public to have their say on our New Sport and Open Space Plan.’
A two-fold approach will be undertaken to collect feedback for this plan with two surveys currently open until Friday 14 May 2021 and community meetings commencing from Sunday 16 May.
