Vibrant CommunitiesAged and Disability Services Transition
Council noted the report and approved the Aged and Disability Services Transition Lead position to commence 1 July 2021 and fund it in the 2021/22 budget.Â
Tender Recommendation Report - Longwarry Early Learning Centre UpgradeCouncil accepted the revised tender submitted by Kubale Constructions for Tender No. 2020031 for the total sum of $1,066,500 (excluding GST) and will reallocate $183,910 of savings from the 2020/21 Drouin Community Hub Project to cover the projected budget shortfall.Â
Tender Recommendation Report - Road Reconstruction Program Jacksons Track LabertoucheCouncil accepted the tender submitted by Sure Constructions for Tender No. 2020025 for the total sum of $1,564,000 (excluding GST) and will reallocate $65,000 of savings from the Hopetoun Road reconstruction project to cover the shortfall. Council noted the proposal to deliver the project after winter to avoid unfavourable conditions.Â
Safe and Sustainable Environments Draft Infrastructure Asset Management StrategyCouncil noted the Draft Infrastructure Management Strategy and moved to place the Draft Strategy on exhibition for public consultation and feedback from 13 May through to 6 June 2021.
Petition Response - Improved Green Waste Solutions in WalhallaÂ
Council noted the options available to Walhalla property owners to receive a green waste service and will further investigate the inclusion of food organics and green organics services for Walhalla as part of Council's next kerbside waste service contracts. Council will additionally write a letter to the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning on behalf of Walhalla residents expressing concern regarding the management of vegetation fuel loads on Crown land in relation to bushfire risks.Â
Organisational Excellence Delegation ReviewCouncil resolved to execute the proposed revised S6 Instrument of Delegation, Council to members of Council Staff.
As of Wednesday 2 December 2020, Council meetings have reopened to members of the public. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a maximum of 40 community participants are able to attend Council Meetings. To assist with contract tracing, meeting attendees must register their intention to attend a meeting via this link.
Meetings will remain available to the public via live stream, and community submissions can be made in writing.
The agenda for the next meeting will be available online the Friday prior to the meeting.
