In accordance with section 6.36 of the Local Government Act 1995, notice is hereby given to the ratepayers of the intention of the City of Swan to levy the following differential rates for each rating category for the 2021/22 financial year.
Rating Category - Gross Rental Value Areas Minimum Rates $ Rate in the Dollar Residential 890 8.5499 cents Commercial/Industrial 1420 9.8247 cents Heavy Industry 1710 16.1131 cents Rating Category - Unimproved Value Areas Minimum Rates $ Rate in the Dollar UV General 890 0.37146 cents UV Commercial 890 0.55950 cents Farmland 890 0.28801 cents Rating Category - Specified Area Rate Rate in the Dollar Drainage Midland 0.6578 cents per dollar of GRV Drainage Hazelmere/Guildford 0.6657 cents per dollar of GRV GRV - Hazelmere Industrial Area Infrastructure 3.896277 cents per dollar of GRV UV- Hazelmere Industrial Area Infrastructure 0.107720 cents per dollar of UVThe Statement of Objects of, and reasons for the above rates was adopted for advertising at Ordinary Meeting of Council on Wednesday, May 12, 2021. These are available for inspection at the City of Swan Administration Office, 2 Midland Square, Midland between 8am and 5pm Monday to Friday and online - Statement of Rating Objects Of, and Reasons for the Differential Rates 2021/22 Financial Year.
All submissions in writing with reference to the proposed differential rates should be forwarded to the City of Swan, PO Box 196, Midland WA 6936 or email [email protected] by 4pm on Tuesday, June 8, 2021.
Once Council has considered the submissions, the Differential Rates and the 2021/22 Budget (with or without modification) will be adopted by Council.
