Macedon Ranges Shire Council is encouraging local business effected by COVID-19 to apply for the second round of $1,000 support vouchers for use on professional services.
Angela Hughes, Director Planning and Environment, said Council is focused on supporting local businesses.
“Given the response to the first round of Business Continuity and Resilience Program (BCRP) vouchers, Council is pleased to offer those businesses that did not previously receive two vouchers another opportunity to apply for support.”
“While some operators and owners have returned to ‘business as usual’, many are still feeling the effects of COVID-19 and we are keen to support them as they adapt to the ‘new normal’. This program aims to assist businesses wishing to upskill, explore growth opportunities or pivot their existing model,” said Ms Hughes.
Funded from Council’s COVID Recovery Budget, eligible business operators are able to apply for up to two separate $1,000 vouchers, for two individual service providers located in the Macedon Ranges. Examples of professional service providers include accounting, tax-advice, legal, marketing, grant application assistance, or business strategy.
If you received two vouchers in the initial BCRP round you are ineligible to apply for further vouchers in this second round. If you received only one voucher from the initial BCRP, you can apply for one more voucher.
“Council is proud to support local businesses and fund professional resources which can assist not only recovery, but future growth,” said Ms Hughes.
Applications open on Monday 17 May, and will cease once allocated funds are exhausted or by the program closing date of 5pm Monday 31 May 2021. Claims for vouchers will need to be made by Tuesday 15 June 2021.
