The Tasmanian Government are undertaking strengthening works on the Forth River Bridge (westbound) on Bass Highway at Turners Beach. This program of works is necessary as part of essential maintenance and road safety.
The contractor commenced works on Monday 10 May and will be working between 7am and 6pm from Monday to Saturday. The Council have been advised that the Forth River Bridge strengthening works are expected to be completed by August-September 2020, weather permitting.
The works may affect pedestrians and traffic across the bridge for short periods. The Council has been advised that affected residents and businesses have been notified.
