General rates payment period extended

Central Highlands Regional Council last week resolved to extend the payment period for all second half-yearly general rates notices.

The notices, which cover the period from January to June 2021, are now payable by close of business 27 July 2021.

Those who pay on time will receive a 5% discount.

There are several payment options for people seeking financial assistance, including direct debit or periodical payment plans.

Water notices, which are charged separately, remain due at the end of June.
