Manly is much more than a world-class beach and primary transport gateway to the rest of the Beaches; it's home to more than 17,000 residents, more than 500 businesses, four schools, and pre COVID to some 2.6 visitors every year [1].

Our glorious little seaside town centre is a Northern Beaches gem. Such is why it's so important it has a plan in place that articulates a clear vision for the area and a plan to help ensure it stays enjoyable, vibrant, safe, inclusive, and sustainable well into the future.

Our new place planning process, 'My Place', is a specific approach to planning, design, and managing village and neighbourhood centres that focus on residents' connection to their local area.

We are establishing a project working group to help steer My Place: Manly and invite locals, local businesses, and other stakeholders to apply.

The group will include representatives from Manly Chamber of Commerce, Manly Life Saving Club and residents associations. Expressions of interest close Tuesday 30 May 2021.

Everyone will have the chance to share ideas and feedback around what makes Manly special and unique in the coming months.
