The Margaret River HEART is calling for ten skilled and experienced community members from diverse backgrounds to form a new reference group known as the HEART Sounding Board.
The HEART Sounding Board will provide a forum for community representatives to give feedback on ideas that support service delivery and activation of the venue.
Members will meet at least twice a year to workshop and ‘test drive’ ideas within a creative thinking space to assist the HEART team.
Margaret River HEART General Manager Nicky Hansen said this was an exciting community project and is important to canvass the views of likely users when future planning and programming.
“We’re looking for people with industry experience and expertise to provide community input,” she said.
“Our aim is to increase community engagement across all segments of the community, and we want to ensure there is diversity of skills, views and knowledge in the group to reflect the broad range of focus areas for the HEART.”
HEART Sounding Board members will test the validity or likely success of ideas before they are made public, while ensuring the most efficient use of public funds and resources.
Appointments will be for two years in line with Local Government election cycles.
Residents who are passionate about supporting the activation of the HEART are encouraged to apply as a voluntary member of the HEART Sounding Board. Applications are now open and will close Friday, June 4.
