Blackall combined agents yarded a total of 3185 head of cattle at their weekly fat and store sale.

Cattle were sourced locally from Blackall, Aramac, Charelville, Longreach and Winton.

As well as Cameron's Corner, Birdsville, Torrens Creek, Boulia, Mt Isa, Camooweal, Windorah, and Julia Creek.

Prices were slightly dearer against the previous week's sale with a large yarding of cows, their prices improved 4 to 5 cents a kilogram.

Bulls under 450kg sold to 342.2c, average 334.5c, and bulls over 450kg made 324.2c, average 294.4c.

Cows 300-400kg sold to 296.2c, average 259.8c, cows 400-500kg made 342.2c, average 292.7c, and cows over 500kg reached 330c, to average 301.3c.

Heifers under 220kg made 412.2c, average 404.6c, heifers 220-280kg sold to 518.2c, averaging 448.9c, heifers 280-350kg reached 488.2c, average 395.7c, heifers 350-450kg made 472.2c, average 370.7c, and heifers over 450kg sold to 348.2c, averaging 332.2c.
