Changes to Kerang weighbridge arrangements

Published on 25 May 2021

Users of the Wellington Street, Kerang weighbridge are advised that this facility will cease operations from Friday, 28 May.

The weighbridge, located between Boundary Street and the Swan Hill to Bendigo railway line, services local truck drivers and transportation services passing through the town.

“TJ Stockfeeds has managed the Wellington Street weighbridge on behalf of Council for many years, which Council has been grateful for,” Gannawarra Shire Council Chief Executive Officer, Tom O’Reilly said.

“TJ Stockfeeds has advised Council that they are no longer able to offer their service due to their business operations.”

Motorists can still use Lipp’s Natural Resources’ weighbridge, located in Murphy Street, Kerang, for vehicle weighing purposes.

“Signs will be placed at the Wellington Street weighbridge advising motorists to use Lipp’s Natural Resources weighbridge,” Mr O’Reilly said.

“Council appreciates the efforts of both TJ Stockfeeds and Lipp’s Natural Resources for supporting these key resources, and thanks motorists for their understanding at this time.”
