Our residents are being asked to have a ‘voice for your community’ by participating in the 2021 Australian Liveability Census.

Your responses to Australia’s largest community-led social research project will not only provide a snapshot of community values in Maroondah but help to guide strategic direction for our municipality.

The survey, which takes approximately 15 minutes to compete, runs until Wednesday 30 June. It aims to capture community values from across Australia, which will assist all levels of government to create impactful changes locally.

Maroondah Mayor, Councillor Kylie Spears, said this is your chance to speak up about what matters most in your neighbourhood.

“What is it that makes our community so great to live in and what would make it better?” Cr Spears said.

“Through this census, your opinions will help capture the community values that could guide decision-making at a national level and make our municipality even greater. This is an exciting project and I encourage you to take the time to complete the survey.”

About the research

Through funding from the Australian Government, Place Score is delivering the 2021 Australian Liveability Census. This is Australia’s largest social research project and gives communities a voice on a national platform.

Once collated, the responses will reveal what really matters to a community and how neighbourhoods are performing for the people who live there.
