The recent occurrence of COVID-19 cases in the northern suburbs of Melbourne has resulted in some changes to public health advice for the Greater Melbourne Area.
These restrictions do not currently apply to the Ararat local government area, however, it is vitally important that every one of us continues to practice COVIDSafe principles and check-in via the QR Code system when out and about.
If you are travelling to Melbourne, please follow the below restrictions as they apply to you. These changes will come into effect as of 6pm tonight (25/5/2021):
Limit of 5 people to attend private households per day) Limit of 30 people at public gatherings in the Greater Melbourne area (this will apply to people from Greater Melbourne who have/attend gatherings in regional Victoria Masks MUST be worn indoors until further notice (by persons aged 12 and over) (unless an exemption applies) (this will apply to regional Victorians visiting Greater Melbourne) Schools & workplaces remain openChanges may be made to these restrictions at short notice, please stay vigilant and follow the media for new information as it is distributed by the State Government.
