Council News - 2 June 2021 MEDIA RELEASE Local businesses are encouraged to register as suppliers for the Wyangala upgrade

“With the current skills shortages across the Central NSW region it is important that businesses get involved. There are a huge variety of opportunities,” said Mayor Mark Liebich “This project is being deliberately designed to also provide support to businesses to help fill gaps they may have and grow their capacity to do more work.”

WaterNSW is encouraging local businesses to register as a supplier for the Wyangala Dam Wall Raising project. The local business register will be provided to the major construction contractors so they can demonstrate how they will maximise local business and employment opportunities as part of the tender process.

Interested businesses are asked to register their interest at https://www.waternsw.com.au/projects/new-dams-for-nsw/wyangala-dam/local-business-register

“I encourage all businesses in the Weddin Shire to get involved” said Mark Liebich.

Further information and the latest updates on the Wyangala Dam wall raising project can be obtained at https://www.waternsw.com.au/projects/new-dams-for-nsw/wyangala-dam
