Saturday, June 5, 2021, 7:30 – 9:30pm Folk Roots and Branches: Mark Cryle and Friends in Concert Mark Cryle’s song writing has left a rich legacy in the Brisbane folk music scene. Here Cryle  gathers some old friends from Spot the Dog days, along with some new ones, to present a pageant of song craft. He will be joined by Cathy Bell, Penny Boys and Andrew Heath from The Poachers. He’ll team up with long time musical collaborator Richard Evans in The Mystery Dogs. He has also recruited Dan Grant, who will be playing a set with Cathy and Penny in their ‘contemporary urban folk group’ Tin Star. Mark is still writing fine songs and will showcase some of these in a performance with Asleep at the Reel. It’s a gathering of high calibre musicians who are also friends sharing the stage at Sandgate’s Music By The Sea. Who knows what they might get up to?
