As organisers are set to brie it on, the Welcome to Wetlands Weekend wine and cheese event on Friday, 11 June 2021 will kick off with a cracker at the local recreation grounds with Blackwater songstress Greer Webley.
On the following night, Saturday, 12 June 2021, the Bushman’s Evening event will feature country band Luke Geiger and Bareback and an array of foodie trucks with a variety of menus from the usual pub grub to Italian and Thai.
The sold-out Greater Whitsunday Food Network luncheon featuring celebrity chef Matt Golinski will feature some of the region’s finest produce and Costa Georgiadis from Gardening Australia will share his gardening tips.
Isaac Regional Council Mayor Anne Baker said this award-winning festival will delight and amaze the crowd with the line-up of lost trades stalls, free workshops and indigenous arts and cultural activities.
“St Lawrence Wetlands Weekend will tantalise your taste buds, invoke creativity and teach you about a nationally significant coastal wetlands right in our backyard on June 11-13,” Mayor Baker said.
“Trek through the bush for an immersive experience as you tour the wetlands and learn more about endangered birdlife, turtles and reef.
“Why not take an historical town tour of one of the oldest towns in Queensland.”
The event is proudly brought to the region by Isaac Regional Council in partnership with community and government partners.
The St Lawrence Wetlands Weekend is supported by the Queensland Government through Tourism and Events Queensland and features on the It’s Live! in Queensland events calendar.

Even though most of the free workshops are booked out online, there will be a number of stalls operating their own workshops at minimal costs on Saturday, 12 June 2021.
