Shine a light on the darkest night with Survivors of Suicide and Friends.

This year's Winter Solstice is scheduled for Monday June 21 from 6:00 pm, at QEII Square in Albury. For the first time, the Solstice will both be hosted in person and will be streamed online for those who cannot physically attend. This is a free event for all.

The Winter Solstice was created to encourage candid and destigmatising conversations around suicide, and around the real, lived experiences of mental ill health in our community. We come together on the darkest night of the year to share stories, to support, and to remember those we've lost.

We'll be hosting guest speakers Georgie Dent, Kerry O'Brien, and Linda Burney, alongside our ever wonderful MC David Astle. Join us for a night of reflection, remembrance, and connection.

In the words of Samuel Johnson who spoke at the 2018 Solstice, "this event is an example, a template if you like, of how to handle this issue. I’d love to see this in every town.”
