Bulk Buy making solar more accessible

Maroondah residents are encouraged to consider the innovative Solar Savers ‘Bulk Buy’ program, which opens pathways for homeowners and renters to install rooftop solar panels at discounted rates.

To be eligible, participants must not have solar panels already installed.

Through the Council-backed Solar Savers program, you have access to independent and free advice about solar power. Solar Savers can connect you with a trusted, accredited installer who can design a quote tailored to your energy usage and home.

Maroondah Mayor, Councillor Kylie Spears, said many households in Maroondah would benefit from increased accessibility to solar energy.

“In addition to energy costs, our residents are becoming more conscious about their carbon footprint, about what they’re leaving behind for the next generation. So, this is one way we can help them to reduce their future impact,” Cr Spears said.

“They can also rest easy in the knowledge that trusted installers will be undertaking the work. Solar Savers forms an important part of our vision for clean, green and sustainable communities in Maroondah.”
