Building approvals continue to surge

The city’s building boom continues with almost double the number of new dwellings granted Council approval this financial year compared to 2019-20.

There have been 862 new dwellings approved this financial year, compared to 433 for the equivalent period in the previous financial year.

A total of 66 new dwellings were approved in May, which is a 100% increase on May 2020.
