Work on the pump track has been delayed while the contractor took a break over Easter, followed by wet weather and finalisation of design drawings for the next stage.
Design drawings have now been finalised however the recent wet weather has further delayed the restart of the project.
The contractor is preparing to be on site on Monday 14 June when it is hoped that the site will have dried sufficiently to allow the earthworks to proceed.
Unfortunately, the delay has meant that we are now significantly behind schedule and as we are entering the wetter part of the year, rainfall will also impact the completion of the project.
The pump track, mountain bike trails and dirt jumps are expected to be open to the public mid-September.
