Drop-in centre for residents affected by storm activated at Hills Hub in Emerald Published: 11 June 2021

A drop-in centre is now available at Council’s Hills Hub in Emerald for residents affected by the recent storm.

The centre features space for residents to warm up, charge phones and grab a tea or coffee. 

The drop-in centre is open from midday today (Friday 11 June) to 4pm and will be run by Council staff and local volunteers.  

All are welcome to drop in, ask questions and seek support. You will be required to check in using the Service Victoria QR code 

Face masks must be worn both inside and outside unless you have an exemption. COVID-safe measures such as density limits will also be in place.  

Food will not be provided at the drop-in centre. 

The drop-in centre will remain open while there are still power outages throughout the Hills. At this stage, the drop-in centre will be open at the following times: 

Friday 11 June from midday to 4pm  Saturday 12 June from 9.30am to 4pm  Sunday 13 June from 9.30am to 4pm 

The Hills Hub is located at the corner of Belgrave-Gembrook and Beaconsfield-Emerald roads, Emerald. 

The Emerald Library, which is located next door to the Hills Hub, is also open for community use.
