Residents of the Willows Gemfields, Bogantungan, Sapphire Gemfields and Clermont-Rubyvale Road areas are invited to submit questions and discussion points for upcoming community consultations.
Submissions can be made now via council’s Have Your Say platform until the close of business on 23 June 2021.
The consultations will be held on 7 and 8 July 2021.
Willows Recreation Centre – 7 July 2021 from 9.30 am Bogantungan – 7 July 2021 from 12.30 pm Theresa Creek, Clermont-Rubyvale Road – 8 July 2021 from 9.30 am Rubyvale Hall – 8 July 2021 from 1.30 pmRefreshments will be provided.
The Mayor, councillors and council staff will host the face-to-face consultations to provide updates on key projects, answer questions and discuss matters relating to the community and council.
Mayor Kerry Hayes said submitting questions and discussions points prior to the consultations has a few benefits.
‘Submitting your questions and discussion points before the consultation helps council understand which topics are of most concern,’ Mayor Hayes said.
‘It also ensures that councillors and council staff can answer specific questions in detail on the day.
‘And if you don’t like speaking in a public forum or are unable to attend in person on the day, it’s a way to ensure your concerns are brought up.’
