Residents are advised that Service NSW will be closed from 2:00pm this coming Thursday 10 June 2021 for technology upgrades. Normal operating hours will resume Friday 11 June 2021.

ROAD CLOSURE: CRI MARKET DAY

Residents are advised that the Criterion Hotel Grenfell will be holding a Market Day in Teston Street, Grenfell under a full road closure. Teston Street will be closed on Saturday 12 June 2021 from 8:00am until 5:00pm.

ROAD CLOSURE: GRENFELL CAR CLUB CAR SHOW

Residents are advised that the Grenfell Car Club will be holding its 2021 Car Show in Short Street, Grenfell under a full road closure. Short Street will be closed between George Street and East Street on Sunday 13 June 2021 from 9:30am until 2:00pm.

WORKSHOP: THE ART OF CUSTOMER SERVICE DURING COVID

Weddin Shire Council will be holding a business skills development workshop titled ‘The Art of Customer Service During COVID’ on Wednesday 16 June 2021 commencing at 6pm at the Grenfell Community Hub.

All Weddin-based business owners and staff representatives are encouraged to attend; those who are interested are asked to RSVP by Friday 11 June 2021 to Council’s Economic Development Officer, Ms Auburn Carr at Ph: 6343 2855 or Email:

NEW REQUIREMENT FOR ONLINE DEVELOPMENT APPLICATIONS

The NSW Government recently released legislative changes which require all Development Applications to be lodged electronically via the NSW Planning Portal from 1 July 2021.

The NSW Planning Portal is a central platform through which Development Applications and other applications can be submitted online; anywhere, anytime.

Weddin Shire Council commenced accepting Development Applications, Modifications, Complying Development Certificate applications, Construction Certificates, Occupation Certificates and Section 68 applications via the Portal on 17 May 2021. Applicants can continue to lodge these applications at Council’s Administration Building up until 1 July 2021.

During these works residents can expect heavy machinery to be active and as such traffic control will be in place; travellers should allow for short delays and possible detours. Some noise and dust disturbance is expected due to the use of various plant and equipment onsite, however any impact to residents will be minimised where possible.
