Mason Street Mareeba

Council advises that Mason Street, Mareeba, will be reduced to a single lane between the intersections with Basalt Street and Costin Street, from 7.00am Monday, 21 June 2021 to 5.00pm Friday 9 July 2021, weather permitting. The change in traffic conditions is necessary to accommodate planned works to upgrade the sewer main on Mason Street. Throughout this period motorists may experience delays of up to 10 minutes at a time to allow movement of machinery. The single lane closure will return to two lane traffic at the end of each day’s construction work. Motorists are urged to proceed with caution and adhere to speed limits while construction is in progress. The patience and cooperation of motorists will be appreciated. Council apologises for any inconvenience caused.
