We’re looking for design consultants to develop a new club house and community facilities at one of Australia’s oldest surf club houses at Manly Beach.

With a $15 million project budget, the expression of interest (EOI) calls for an experienced and qualified design consultancy to manage the rebuild.

The successful company will work with Council to consult the community to ensure the design meets club, community and Council needs.

Manly Life Saving Club was established in 1903, with the current club house built in 1982. While the 40-year-old clubhouse has done an amazing job for the community, it’s now past its use-by date, struggling to cope with the growing numbers of beach users.

Since the clubhouse rebuild was first suggested in 2018, input from a dedicated working group including community, business and club representatives led to Council approving a business case in June 2020. Since then, Council has continued to work with the club to develop the project.

The EOI is available at Northern Beaches Councils E-Tendering portal and is open until 6 July 2021.
