Safety Changes to Forrest Road Capel

After a couple of near miss reports while exiting from IGA parking, the Shire undertook an investigation in collaboration with Main Roads WA to improve the traffic safety.

The solution is to remove the two end parking bays which will provide a better sight line to exit from the IGA parking.

The Shire is planning to undertake the works by line marking at the end of June 2021. Consultation with the adjacent business owners is underway. Traffic Management will be in place during this period. Road users are urged to slow down when approaching the area, obey all signs and show courtesy to other road users.
