Western Downs Regional Council is bringing outdoor movies to Dalby, Miles, and Tara this winter with a free community drive-in experience for all ages to enjoy during July.

The thrilling adventures of The Croods family in “The Croods 2: A New Age” will be shown at next month’s free outdoor cinema experience, as part of Council’s commitment to supporting active and vibrant communities.

Spokesperson for Community and Cultural Development Councillor Kaye Maguire said the outdoor movies offered an opportunity for people to come together and be a part of the community.

“Council is excited to deliver projects that ensure our residents are united by social, cultural and sporting activities in their local area,” Cr Maguire said.

“Watching movies with friends and family with the experience of a drive-in is a great event that I am happy to see is back for another year”

“There is something special about getting together to enjoy a fun-filled movie, where people just drive in, park up and watch the movie without even having to get out of their vehicles if they don’t want to.”

“The local drive-in movies are not just about providing an exciting new event for you and your family to enjoy, but it also promotes our region and the people that make it,

‘This year’s events are BYO so make sure you stock up on yummy goodies and beverages from your local shops.

“We want the region to enjoy the experience so all you need to do is attend any of the three local events, sit back in your car, turn the radio on and enjoy a fun-filled movie with your blankets and snacks”
