What is the Get Active Kids Voucher Program?

The Get Active Kids Voucher Program helps eligible families enrol their children in organised sport and active recreation activities by reimbursing the cost of membership and registration fees, uniforms, and equipment. Eligible children may be able to receive up to $200 each.

To be eligible, children must be Victorian residents, aged 4 to 18 and named on a valid Health Care Card or Pensioner Concession Card, as well as a Medicare Card.

Special consideration also applies for children named on their own valid Health Care Card or residing in Care Services. Additionally, temporary or provisional visa holders, undocumented migrants and international students may also be eligible to apply.

The Program is being delivered across four Rounds through to 15 April 2022, with up to 100,000 vouchers available. You can only apply for one voucher per eligible child in any two of the four nominated Rounds (claim periods). You must apply separately for each voucher. Round 2 of the Program opened on 31 May 2021 and will close at 5:00pm, Friday 9 July 2021.

Since the Program launched in February 2021, we have been in contact with staff from your Council. We greatly appreciate the assistance provided to date to promote the Program. To continue to promote and extend the reach of the Program, we ask that you please share the above information to relevant community engagement stakeholders in your municipality and encourage their promotion of the Program to multicultural communities, youth networks, local sporting clubs and the broader community to encourage those eligible to apply.
