This Saturday, 26 June there will be a host of planting events and workshops taking place around Fremantle for the community to join in on.
Leighton Beach planting dayWhen: 9am-12pm, with lunch around 11.30am-12pm | Saturday 26 June Where: Meet in the grassed area in front of the Orange Box at Leighton Beach What to bring: BYO gloves, hat, water bottle, sun protection and wet weather gear if rain is forecasted. Refreshments will be provided.
Head along for the Leighton Beach planting day to help revegetate the dunes in front of the Surf Life Saving Club.
There will be 2000 plants thanks to a Coastwest grant and City of Fremantle community grant.

Booyeembara Park planting dayWhen: 9-11am | Saturday 26 June Where: Booyeembarra Park bushland zones (access off Stevens Street, White Gum Valley) What to bring: Sturdy, closed shoes, water bottle, a hat and gardening gloves
Join the Friends of Boo Park for the annual community planting day and help plant 2000 seedings in the revegetation area off Stevens Street. Follow the signs on the day!
SERCUL will be coordinating the planting day.
Plant and weed identification workshop - Sullivan HallWhen: 11.15am-1pm | Saturday 26 June Where: Sullivan Hall, White Gum Valley
If you are keen on bush care, join along for this free workshop on plant and weed identification presented by Richard and Kieran from APACE with plant prizes to be won!
There will be a morning tea held for those attending the community planting day at Boo Park before the workshop kicks off.
