A third round of free Upskilling Corangamite workshops aims to help Shire residents out of COVID-19 restrictions and into jobs.
Council Manager Growth and Engagement Rory Neeson said two previous rounds of workshops had been well attended, despite a circuit-breaker lockdown causing some to be rescheduled.
“The workshops are part of our COVID Recovery Program and are co-funded by the State Government,” Mr Neeson said.
“There were a lot of people and businesses in the Shire that were affected by the pandemic closures and lockdowns in the past year and a half.
“With these workshops we’re aiming to help our residents re-establish their working futures coming out of the COVID-19 restrictions.
“The one-day sessions are free and light lunches are included.
“All workshops are formally accredited or offer a Certificate of Completion, making participants job ready, strengthening their resumes.”
The following Upskilling Corangamite courses will be held across the Shire throughout July and August.
