An exciting opportunity exists for a permanent full time Groundsman to join our Parks and Recreation team in the Engineering and Infrastructure Directorate based in Moranbah.

Reporting to the Team Leader, this is a key position which is responsible for assisting with grounds maintenance of community usage areas including sportsgrounds, parks, open spaces and cemeteries across Isaac Regional Council. 

The successful candidate will have:

Knowledge and experience in basic mechanics, general maintenance and gardening is required. Relevant certification for the operation of plant and equipment, horticulture and poison operations and minimum 12 months experience is desirable. ‘LR’ class drivers’ licence (highly regarded) Construction Blue/White Card Ability to pass pre-employment medical

For this position we offer:

Salary $53,226.34 - $54,467.87 per annum + allowances, including: Locality Allowance (Between $28.45 - $56.90 per fortnight) Construction Workers Allowance ($63 per 76-hour fortnight) Nominally 76 hours over a 9-day fortnight 5 weeks annual leave @ 17.5% loading 12% super in accordance with Council policy RDOs in accordance with Council policy
