Ararat Rural City Council is seeking feedback from residents on their willingness to get the COVID-19 jab.

To better understand the behaviours, attitudes and knowledge surrounding the COVID-19 Vaccination Program, Council is surveying members of our community through the Engage Ararat platform.

Ararat Rural City CEO Dr Tim Harrison emphasised that COVID-19 waves are inevitable until we get vaccinated.

“In these unusual times, a vaccine is the best defence to prevent the spread of the virus,” said Dr Harrison.

“We want to better understand how community members feel about getting vaccinated, especially those who are undecided.

“All community members are encouraged to participate in the COVID-19 Vaccination Program survey on the Engage Ararat platform or by calling council offices, it only takes a few minutes.

“The survey is an opportunity for the community to ask questions about the program anonymously.

“The information gathered from the survey will enable us to further support our community, ensuring any concerns surrounding the COVID-19 vaccine are raised and appropriately addressed.

“As a community, we need to look out for one another and for our health system. If eligible, please make an appointment to get the jab,” concluded Dr Harrison.

For more information visit www.engage.ararat.vic.gov.au or call Council’s Customer Service on 03 5355 0200 and a staff member will fill out the survey on your behalf. The survey is open to the public from 18 June to 25 June 2021.
