The Cocoon Gallery for Emerging Artists at Margaret River Library is set to exhibit the latest works of artist Patrick Wise in an exhibition titled ‘Cyber Warrior’.
The exhibition will launch at the Cocoon Gallery for Emerging Artists on Thursday 8 July 2021 from 6pm to 7pm with the community invited to attend. Works will remain on show until 31 August, so those who can’t make the opening will still have the chance to see the intriguing exhibition.
Patrick Wise is a visual artist with a diverse range of artistic experience in drawing, sculpture and print. He grew up in an artistic family in Margaret River and over the years has developed a love of drawing and has found his own style of creativity.
Wise says his current direction explores figurative designs in graphic pencil which reflect robotic characters inspired by Japanese anime.
“I love creating characters which are suitable for computer games, comics or designs on t-shirts,” he said.
Depicting a series of half human, half machine figures influenced by popular culture, the exhibition is both powerful and thought-provoking and provides a great opportunity for locals to see an emerging artist’s original works.
The official launch of ‘Cyber Warrior’ will be held on Thursday 8 July 2021 from 6pm to 7pm at the Margaret River Library. To RSVP to the exhibition opening, please email Patrick Wise on [email protected].
The Margaret River Library is an easily accessible venue. The community are invited to view this latest exhibition at the Cocoon Gallery at any time during library opening hours.
