The Mount Isa Campdraft is set to roll this weekend with an action-packed three day program. Action at the Lagoon Park arena on Bendall Dr kicks off on Thursday with a Kids Beginner Campdraft School run by Brett Hick starting at 8am. From 6pm that evening there will be a Stallion Shootout where the winner will attain the status of the highest class of horse participating. On Friday there will be a $7000 open draft followed by a $3000 Novice A Draft and finals. That evening there will be a teams drafting challenge under lights from 7pm followed by Ladies and Junior Barrels provided by the Mount Isa Rodeo Series. Saturday morning will open with a $3000 Novice B Draft, then a $2500 Maiden A Draft and $3000 Restricted Open Draft. Saturday night events will conclude the program with a rodeo held by the Mount Isa Rodeo Series including a $1500 bull ride. The participants in the Walk Ride Run for Palliative Care will be entering the arena at 6pm Saturday to conclude their 160km trek from Cloncurry fundraising challenge. Mount Isa Campdraft gears up for a big weekend

The Mount Isa Campdraft is set to roll this weekend with an action-packed three day program.
