Babinda organisation awarded funding

Council has entered into a new three-year $45,000 funding agreement with the Babinda District Community Association (Babinda Taskforce), to enable the organisation to facilitate activities that contribute to a strong, sustainable and connected community in Babinda.

Those actions include supporting and working with community groups and businesses, provide leadership for future change, innovation and development, deliver programs specific to the community needs, and be one unified voice for the Babinda region.

This resolution needs to be ratified at the next Ordinary Meeting of Council, to be held on 28 July 2021.
