Promoting superyacht industry

A new $90,000, three-year agreement with Superyacht Group Great Barrier Reef will continue to promote Cairns as one of Australia’s most desirable places to live, visit and do business.

Cairns is recognised as a nationally significant superyacht port, with Superyacht Group Great Barrier Reef the only locally managed superyacht industry cluster in Australia.

The $30,000 per annum commitment will also support industry development and economic diversification and foster a collaborative working relationship between agencies and stakeholders.

This resolution needs to be ratified at the next Ordinary Meeting of Council, to be held on 28 July 2021.
