COUNCIL & COMMUNITY WORKING TOGETHER TO ACHIEVE MEANINGFUL OUTCOMES!

The ground was soaking wet but the sun was out – perfect weather for planting trees!  20 advanced trees to be exact, planted by more than 20 local volunteers.

The planting of the avenue of trees undertaken on Saturday 3 July 2021 was a joint initiative undertaken by the Rotary Club of Ulverstone, Rotary Club of Ulverstone West and Rotaract to celebrate the Centenary of Rotary in Australia and New Zealand.

The trees line the shared pathway alongside the Leven River and once established, they will create a stunning autumn display as well as provide additional shade in the Park.  Council fully supported the idea and were pleased to assist with the preparation and installation.
