An exciting opportunity exists for a permanent full time Senior Water & Wastewater Operator to join Isaac Regional Council’s Water and Wastewater directorate, based in Moranbah. Reporting to the Treatment Plant Supervisor – North, this position is responsible for the efficient and effective ‘hands on’ day to day operation of Councils Water and Wastewater Treatment Plants.
The Senior Water & Wastewater Operator will comply with legislative requirements that surround the operations of water and waste networks, meet water quality guidelines and undertake repairs to water and sewerage infrastructure. In addition, this position will require the compiling of accurate records of infrastructure alterations, carry out water pressure and flow tests, and conduct risk management analyses regularly and identifying threats of safety, quality, the environment and financial function. There is availability to carry out reasonable overtime and participate in an on-call roster.
About you:
We are seeking an enthusiastic Senior Water and Wastewater Operator who possess:
Relevant experience in Water and/or Wastewater Treatment plants Certificate III in Water Industry Operations (Water and Wastewater disciplines preferred) An understanding of state legislation relevant to municipal treatment operations in Queensland Strong written and verbal communications skills with proven ability to prepare documentation and reports. Sound experience and knowledge of Microsoft Office SuiteFor this position we offer:
$63,277.63 per annum plus allowances 76 hours per fortnight as per roster + Overtime + On Call Fortnightly RDO’s Housing with rent at $80 per week 5 weeks annual leave @ 17.5% loading pro-rata 12% super (in accordance with policy)What it’s like to work and live in the Isaac region:
