OUR OPPORTUNITY

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced, professional and highly organised Project Coordinator to join the fast-paced Office of the Director of Planning, Environment and Community Services, based in Moranbah. Providing direct support and reporting to the Capital & Projects Program Manager, this position is responsible for coordinating project delivery, reporting and management, in addition to procurement and construction administration responsibilities.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

Minimum three (3) years’ experience in a similar role; Tertiary qualification in project or construction management (or related fields) or 7 years’ experience in the delivery of capital works programs in the public sector; Previous experience planning and programming contractual works, and the evaluation and management of contracts and tenders is highly desirable; Demonstrated experience in developing, monitoring and managing budgets in relevant work area; Highly competent in developing, monitoring and managing budgets in relevant work area; Holder of a construction white card or the ability to obtain; Holder of a current C Class Open Australian Drivers’ License.

BENEFITS

$91,405.36 per annum + allowances; Fixed term two (2) years’ full time position; Nominally 72.5 hours per fortnight; 5 weeks annual leave @ 17.5% loading; 12% super in accordance with Council policy; and RDO’s in accordance with Council policy.
