An exciting opportunity exists for a fixed term full time Waste Management Officer to join our Water & Waste Directorate, based in Nebo. Reporting to the Supervisor Waste Services, this position is responsible for the provision of customer service at the Glenden and Nebo Waste Management Facility and for the timely and efficient input of data, and the safe operation of the weighbridge to ensure compliance with environmental license and legislation conditions.
This role is also responsible for the general maintenance, litter collection and checking storage areas at the Glenden and Nebo Waste Management Facility. The officer position is a rostered position that includes alternate weekend work. The ability to be able to work some overtime as directed is a requirement of the role. There may be occasions when the you will be required to travel to other Waste Management Facilities within the region to provide customer service functions, including Glenden.
About you:
We are seeking an enthusiastic Waste Management Officer who possess:
Demonstrated customer service and EFTPOS transaction experience; Intermediate computer skills; Experience in traffic management; Experience in performing light labouring duties; Blue/White Construction Card; ‘C’ class Queensland driver’s licence.For this position we offer:
$52,672.99 per annum (Level 3 – Stream B) plus allowances Nominally 76 hours per fortnight as per roster Fortnightly RDO’s in accordance with Council policy 5 weeks annual leave @ 17.5% loading pro-rata 12% super (in accordance with policy)What it’s like to work and live in the Isaac region:
