In conjunction with the Northern Midlands Local Recycling Committee, and the Northern Tasmanian Waste Management group, the trailer was developed to be used throughout schools, community centres, and community events to raise awareness and educate our community on recycling and reducing waste.
The trailer is designed for less common recyclables, to promote recycling and to get people thinking about what else can be recycled, aside from what goes into their kerbside recycling bin. It is often these less common recyclables such as batteries which do the most harm to our environment.
The trailer can take batteries, CDs & DVDs, glasses, X-rays, small electronic waste (E-waste), printer ink cartridges, mobile phones (and accessories), and bread tags.
