The Shire of Augusta Margaret River is asking community members to do two online activities to help shape its new website. Participants will go in the draw to win one of four $100 gift vouchers to spend at a local business of their choice.
Shire Chief Executive Officer Stephanie Addison-Brown said work was underway in close collaboration with the community to shape a new, more user-friendly Shire website.
“We have kicked off a project to rebuild the Shire’s website with the goal of making it easier for people to access the information and services they are looking for online,” she said.
“Thanks to everyone who participated in the testing activities we did in June to identify issues with the current website. We had 124 people taking part, providing very useful data to inform improvements.
“Since then, we have met with several community members and staff, to gain further insight into what is needed to create a website that’s customer-focussed and easy to use.”
Ms Addison-Brown encouraged people to take part the new round of online activities which are intended to help test out a new draft website structure before it is fully developed.
“We are now ready to show you our draft wireframe and sitemap to test out,” she said.
“The wireframe is a mock-up of how the site might be laid out, remembering this is a very first draft and it’s not how the final stylised design will be. The sitemap structure is the way content is grouped and labelled.
“By doing these activities, community members will help us find any issues with the proposed new structure so we can make further tweaks before it goes into the coding and design stage.
“I encourage everyone to have a go! As a way of saying thanks, participants will go in the draw to win one of four local $100 vouchers to spend at a business of their choice.”
Double your chances of winning by doing both activities.
The two activities are: Activity A - Home wireframe testing (5-7 mins) Activity B - Website sitemap testing (6 mins) Start the test activities now
