Nat Bartsch - Lullabies

An expert pianist composer known for her soothing compositions in both jazz and classical contexts, Nat Bartsch will perform her suite of lullabies to audiences young and old in the Arts Theatre at 3pm on Sunday, 15 August.

The daytime shows will feature tracks from the lullaby album Forever, And No Time At All (rel 2018) an album Nat wrote when she became a mother. Nat saw that there was a need for soothing music for babies that was also pleasing to the adult ear. After first interviewing music therapists, Nat composed a series of pieces, drawing on repetition, gentle sounds, simple melodies, and tempos resembling a mother’s heartbeat.
